My name is Yailyn Valdez. I was born and raised in New York City. I am a freelance makeup artist and have been in the business for seven years. I specialize in everyday makeup application, Special occasion(such as bridal, birthdays, gala etc.), editorial, SFX/theatrical makeup, & makeup application classes. I have experience working with all skin tones, skin textures, and skin types. I have a degree in Cosmetics and Fragrance Mktg from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC. There I studied the chemistry behind beauty products, while also studying various business models within different brands. I recently worked as a Senior Makeup Artist for Sephora, where I facilitated makeup classes for clients and trained makeup artist on technique to further elevate their artistry.
